I was very excited to be asked to create this sizzle reel for Jet Stream Sound, a cutting edge full-service audio post-production facility in Burbank. We were looking for eye-catching and innovative ways to present their stellar sound design, and I had great fun putting this together.

A short video reel from my two years as the Multimedia Production Manager at Buzznet. Crazy, amazing job! I still enjoy working regularly with Buzz Media (as they are now called) as a freelance videographer and consultant. This is a sample of some of my videos during my time as an action videographer with the Los Angeles County Fire Dept from 2004 – 2006. This was an amazing opportunity to cut my teeth in my profession and to encounter a lot of action and excitement in the process! I still keep in regular contact with my old team, who continue to place their lives on the line right alongside the firefighters.

In 2007, Pete, Patrick, Joe & Andy invited me to document the behind-the-scenes action on the set of this unique music video (edit of a four part webisode series). You know, I love this video, but have some mixed emotions, as I no longer agree with the practice of using apes in show business, especially after educating myself on how they are originally obtained in the wild. Still, this video is some of my best work. Single camera shoot.

Internet celeb and fashion icon Audrey Kitching turns the tables on her photographer in this 2008 webisode for the scintillatingly ravishing Ali Barone and her hallmark clothing and style line Lipstick Prophets. Single camera shoot.

Michael Myers (Tyler Mane) starts as an intern at Buzznet (edit of a four part webisode series). Dimension Films was kind enough to let us have Tyler for two hours for this promotional piece; he actually brought the ORIGINAL MICHAEL MYERS mask! I am quite proud we pulled off four webisodes from a two hour shoot. I was heavily under the influence of “The Office” camerawork in my directing and shooting approach to this, and we did it all with a single camera and practical lighting.

Acoustic set from the Beck’s RESONATE series; I also simultaneously directed Stereogum’s DECOMPOSED series from the same studio at 6464 Sunset Blvd. We produced well over 100 performances with about 25 artists in the course of one amazing year. (Shauna O’Brien directed first Resonate sessions)

Some amazing music, and an unforgettable band. I am loving the new Canon 5D camera, and the selective focus possible with this lens, which gives a great deal of kinetic energy to the footage of this great new band as they recorded this phenomenal song.
